What is a
Studentreasures® publishing project?
This project allows each student in your classes to become a published
author. Participating students create a manuscript along with
illustrations. Studentreasures® binds each manuscript into a hardcover,
full-color book.
How do I participate?
The process is easy. Simply order your publishing kits for
each participating student by phone, fax, email, or through our
website. We ask that you reserve a press date at the time of
the order. Have students complete their manuscripts and
return them to us using the prepaid UPS label we furnish.
Your published books and all the reprints will be shipped to you 10
days from press date.
What is in a
publishing kit?
The kit contains all the materials necessary to create an original
manuscript. It consists of a title page, dedication page, all
text and illustration pages, and a cover worksheet for a cover
illustration. We also furnish a FREE
Guide to assist in the process that’s filled with ideas and
step-by-step instructions.
What is a press date?
A press date is an agreed upon date that completed manuscripts and
requests for reprints will be returned to Nationwide
Learning. This will ensure that students’ published books are
back in the time frame you require. We recommend sending the
kits, using the prepaid UPA label provided, 1 week prior to the press
date.
Can students write
about any topic?
Yes! Some of our many popular themes include fantasy, travel,
biography, autobiography, science fiction, and many more.
Your students are limited only by their imagination. This
program makes a great addition to any resume and is sure to impress
employers.
Are students required
to purchase reprints?
NO! There is absolutely no obligation to purchase
reprints. All we ask is that students are given the opportunity
to purchase reprints as they have proven to be very popular as
keepsakes and examples of their work.
When and how are
reprints ordered?
We suggest that you distribute the reprint request forms and envelopes
during the writing process. Students simply indicate whether
or not they wish to purchase reprints, sign the slip, and return it in
the envelope provided. Should they wish to purchase reprints,
they complete the form and return it with payment. All slips
and payments should be returned with the publishing kits.
What is the cost for
a reprint?
The cost is $14.95 plus $4.95 S&H.
What if students
purchase but are dissatisfied with the reprints?
Those students who choose to purchase reprints do so at absolutely no
risk. If they are in any way dissatisfied with the hardbound,
full-color reproduction, they may return it directly to Nationwide
Learning with a note saying so. We will issue a prompt,
complete refund . . . no questions asked!
