Here’s how it works, if you refer a colleague to our Free School-wide program and they publish with us you’ll receive a $50 Wal-mart gift card to use for classroom items you need. Or you can have an author’s party to celebrate your student’s accomplishments! You can refer as many new schools as you like and cash in!

This 2010-2011 school year we are introducing the Community Choice Award to the National Book Challenge! (NBC)

Here’s how the Community Choice Award works:

- Teachers and students determine the winner!
- 6 NBC winners will be posted on our website for voting
- 1 winner of the popular vote receives a $250 grant & trophy!

Here’s how the voting process works:

- 6 books are posted for voting on May 2, 2011*
- Voting period runs from May 2-13
- Winner announced on May 16, 2011

We are excited to announce our latest foray into social media. We have teamed up with WeAreTeachers.com to help provide educators free access to resources and programs that bring together educators and businesses to share and promote innovation and best practices in education.

As part of our partnership we have a brand profile on their site. Check out the Studentreasures profile page. We also have a couple of our programs available for order in the community marketplace.

WeAreTeachers is the first network to include The Knowledge Marketplace that gives educators, schools and businesses the ability to sell and recommend education products. They are committed to making sure that every program in the community gives back to teachers in valuable and tangible ways. For this reason Studentreasures is proud to be a part of the community.

A major key to the partnership that we are really excited about is the opportunity to offer a micorgrant to interested teachers. Through our microgrant, teachers will have the opportunity to apply for a chance to receive $200 and a flip video camera to film their students participating in a Studentreasures publishing project. Look for more details to come at a later time.

Our company, Nationwide Learning, Inc. recently celebrated the publishing of our 4 Millionth Free Book! Studentreasures is a division of Nationwide Learning and has been publishing books for students in grades K-6 since 1994. A local CBS affiliate WIBW-Channel 13 was on hand for our celebration and put together this piece on our celebration:
