Building on our popular mail-in program, we have created the 1st & only online publishing system designed exclusively for teachers! Students can create individual books or collaborate on a classbook online.

February is our shortest month in the year and is filled with lots of events. We have Groundhog Day, Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, Black History Month, Valentine’s Day, Presidents’ Day, and last but not least – George Washington’s birthday. With so many events, just think of the projects students can do!
Besides passing out Valentines and making their own mail boxes, try this:
If you’re planning on doing a classbook, you can change it up a little and instead of “Flat Stanley”, you could do Flat Abe, Flat George or any famous individual. The students can then research, write and illustrate about something the individual did. It would be a fun and exciting social studies or creative writing assignment.
For the older students doing their own books, there is one more important event we must not forget. February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day. Have them write about random acts of kindness they have performed or are getting ready to perform. Now there’s something worthwhile to write about.
